Being Someone Isn’t Easy

As we walk through life, we are pressured to be a specific someone, a certain type of person, I should say. However, this someone that others think we should be is all too often not the person we are.

A friend, a parent, a spouse, a sibling, or a boss may say we should be like this or that, while another is saying we should never be like this or that, making being yourself extremely difficult.

There is a point when we have to accept the person we are. Meaning, you are who you are! Whether it’s your sexuality, likes, dislikes, or whatever it is that makes you who you are.

If a person is gay and they finally admit the fact, often their world begins to change for the better. If others cannot accept it then that is their problem, not the person being honest with themselves.

We are all unique and alone inside our brains. All of our thoughts, fears, joys, fantasies, and weirdness are there for us to try to understand and share what we wish.

Even the closest person to you is not privy to everything you think. You are even unaware of many hidden and unconscious thoughts making up your psyche.
